LEAVES' EYES Frontwoman Collaborates With HYPOCRISY's TÄGTGREN On Solo Album
January 25, 2006LEAVES' EYES/ex-THEATRE OF TRAGEDY frontwoman Liv Kristine has revealed in a posting on her official web site that the song "This Is Us", which appears on her "Fake a Smile" solo single, was composed by none other than HYPOCRISY/PAIN mainman Peter Tägtgren.
Commented Kristine: "Alex [Krull, Liv's husband and member of ATROCITY/LEAVES' EYES] and I have known Peter Tägtgren for years and we know that he is a fantastic composer. A while ago, we asked him if he would write a couple of songs for my solo album and I was 'over the moon' as I received the three tracks. I called them 'This is Us', 'Over the Moon' and 'Trapped in Your Labyrinth'. The first-mentioned song is the oldest one. However, it was re-recorded in connection with the release. The lyrics were written at the time when Alex, spending one romantic weekend in a castle at the Czech border, asked me to marry him!"
As previously reported, Liv Kristine will perform at the German soccer game VfB Stuttgart vs. Werder Bremen on February 8 at the Gottlieb Daimler stadium. The cover artwork for Kristine's upcoming sophomore solo album, "Enter My Religion", has been posted online at this location. The much-anticipated follow-up to 1998's "Deus ex Machina" is scheduled for release on March 3 via Roadrunner Records. A single, "Fake a Smile", which is scheduled for release on January 27, will include four non-album tracks and the video for "Fake a Smile". "Enter My Religion" was produced by Alexander Krull (ATROCITY, LEAVES' EYES) at Mastersound Studio in Stuttgart/Fellbach, Germany. The album artwork was handled by Meran Karanitant. The video for "Fake a Smile", has been posted online at RoadrunnerRecords.de. Check it out: Small (13 MB),Large (28 MB).
